A very stylish pair of 1930s Art Deco oak bookends. Typical Deco design of the period- geometric and symmetrical. Art Deco became the principal style in the West during the 1930s and went out of favour during World War II. The 60s saw a revival and this style remains of great interest with prized examples held in museum collections all over the world.

SOLD A pair of reproduction Chinese railway signs cast in aluminium. I bought these knowing full well that the paint work quality isn't great and they are priced to reflect this. Antique Chinese brush washer - hand carved from soapstone in the shape of a lotus leaf. Traditionally used as a scholar’s brush washer tray. A beautiful dining or sideboard centre piece. Fantastic used for its intended function- the curls of the leaf are perfect for resting washed paint brushes.

SOLD Highly unusual French antique architectural salvage dating from the 19th century which is believed to be a chimney topper. Stunning pierced metal body and original crackled paint patina. Picture this on a grand French chateau. Probably used to prevent birds nesting. A fantastically decorative piece which would look simply amazing with internal lighting.

SOLD This is a fab piece of eye-catching shop display. I believe it is very new but the apothecary hand painted signage has been exceptionally well executed. The typographic style has an essence of carnival, fairground and circus sign writing. The price reflects that this is a modern reproduction.

SOLD I positively love the atomic age (late 40s–early 60s) and this piece, although probably dating from late 60s early 70s takes inspiration from this era. This is an original and rare Mid century modern tallboy dresser by White & Newton. A beautifully designed piece in solid & veneered teak wood with atomic style ebonised knobs and retro dansette legs (ebonised wood legs with brass feet caps).

SOLD These are very cute vintage oriental carved nephrite stone turtles. Possibly designed as a belt (but perhaps too short to function as one), this set looks fab hanging on the wall.

SOLD Ceramic sculpture of a seated Pierrot by David Fisher for Austin Productions, 1984 This decadent piece oozes Art Deco glamour. David Fisher is a graduate of Greek Art College of Odessa, Ukraine. He worked for several decades as a sculptor in marble, granite, bronze, and wood.

SOLD This very pretty Japanese Cloisonne Koro dates from the late 19th/early 20th century (Meiji period). A 'koro' is a squat broad-mouthed usually covered jar used mostly as an incense burner.

SOLDThis is an amazing antique 17th century sword chest. What has this swashbuckling item seen and heard over the centuries? It has even been converted to a toolbox at some point and has evidence of being used as a work bench. The remnants of paint and accidental marks only add to the story of this piece.It has only been in the shop for a couple of weeks with many admirers and has recently sold!
