Mid century modern tallboy dresser

I positively love the atomic age (late 40s–early 60s) and this piece, although probably dating from late 60s early 70s takes inspiration from this era. This is an original and rare Mid century modern tallboy dresser by White & Newton. A beautifully designed piece in solid & veneered teak wood with atomic style ebonised knobs and retro dansette legs (ebonised wood legs with brass feet caps).

Stock Code: 3LD0114 Category:

This Mid century modern tallboy dresser is in good used condition, it’s been fully cleaned & re-waxed but a few surface marks, small chips to veneer and scratches remain (shown in photos), The price reflects its unrestored condition. White and Newton made high quality furniture so the drawers open smoothly, cupboard clasps function perfectly and the whole item is solid.

More about the manufacturer:
White and Newton of Portsmouth were producing high-end designer furniture from the 1920s through to the 80s. Despite there being little documentation of the company history, there are plenty of White and Newton pieces on the market today. This model is a more unusual and unique example.
