SOLD This very pretty Japanese Cloisonne Koro dates from the late 19th/early 20th century (Meiji period). A 'koro' is a squat broad-mouthed usually covered jar used mostly as an incense burner.

Set of six Tibetan brass crotal bells. These claw prayer bells have an intricate etched leaf and flower motif and original red paint. SOLD A pair of Edwardian painted silhouettes of a lady and gentleman in period dress, presented in glazed ebonised oval frames. Silhouette images are created in various ways, later examples were often painted. These are produced in the traditional way with pieces of cut paper, mounted to a backing in a contrasting colour, and framed. Highly skilled specialist artists would cut the silhouette in a matter of minutes, working purely by eye. Price includes UK mainland postage.

SOLD This is a late 19th century country made mahogany arm chair with a beautiful curved shape. When you look closely it looks like it has been in a Wild West showdown with multiple repairs! The repairs are good and strong though with no movement. This one is a survivor :)

SOLD Handmade rag bunting exclusively made for and in collaboration with 3LD by Bobbi Handmade. Bobbi is local to Rhayader and designs and makes children’s clothing. I showed Bobbi a photo of rag bunting at Gifford’s Circus and to my delight she had made similar for her wedding. This is a fantastic way of creating a decorative item out of normally discarded fabric which is attached to 2.5 metre long super strong natural yachting cord. This cute Indian carved box dates from the late 19th century. The interior has been sympathetically relined as the original lining had deteriorated significantly. I believe this item was made as a sewing box but would function as a beautiful jewellery box too.

SOLD This fabulous piece of 1920s workmanship would have been made for the industrial office. A fantastic feature is the rotating wheel of hooks. Would look magnificent in any hallway (with a fairly high ceiling as it stands at nearly 7ft tall!).

This is a rare 1960's/70's set of nine Oshie Japanese silk dolls. Oshie means 'Japanese patchwork'- a traditional technique of using fragments of clothing and paper/card to create dolls for girls. These are exquisitely made with hand painted/brushed facial features and individually placed beards.

Meet ‘Jonathan’ (named by previous custodian) the mannequin torso. This piece of mannequin art is covered with pages from 50 Shades of Grey using the decoupage technique. I thought it wise NOT to show a detail of this piece! Jonathan is a very useful chap as you can adorn him with your accessories. A definite talking/giggling point!

SOLD This is a mid-century wall clock made by Metamec. In full working order with quartz movement and very pretty pierced foliate surround. Metamec was a manufacturer of domestic clocks in the second half of the 20th century, and was based in Dereham, Norfolk, England. The name "Metamec" is derived from "metal-work and mechanics". The company started as an offshoot of the furniture manufacturers Jentique in about 1941, which made boxes for instruments and bombs during World War II. Price includes UK mainland postage.

SOLD I positively love the atomic age (late 40s–early 60s) and this piece, although probably dating from late 60s early 70s takes inspiration from this era. This is an original and rare Mid century modern tallboy dresser by White & Newton. A beautifully designed piece in solid & veneered teak wood with atomic style ebonised knobs and retro dansette legs (ebonised wood legs with brass feet caps).

These mid century chest of drawers have funky rounded edges and an unusual light coloured painted veneer. The handles are not original but could easily be replaced if desired. I think they are really rather pretty and quirky.

SOLD This is a fab piece of eye-catching shop display. I believe it is very new but the apothecary hand painted signage has been exceptionally well executed. The typographic style has an essence of carnival, fairground and circus sign writing. The price reflects that this is a modern reproduction.
