WHY I BOUGHT THIS VINTAGE STOOL…
… because I am drawn to utilitarian art studio furniture which is heavily marked and worn. I like to imagine the hours of contemplation spent whilst sitting on this stool. There’s even a previous owner’s initials inscribed into the side panel. The painted finish has a fab patina.

Overall this vintage stool is strong and sturdy. There are a couple of horizontal splits in the side panel but this does not affect the integrity of the piece.
There is obvious wear and tear which is part of the item’s charm. I have revived the wood to nourish, preserve and protect.
