An early 20th century vintage child’s school desk with strap hinged top and ink well aperture.
For nostalgia sake … weekday teatimes watching Grange Hill and on Sunday mornings producing radio shows on my radio cassette player at my old school desk. My Dad, through his furniture business, acquired a desk not dissimilar to this for doing my homework. Mine still had a load of unmentionable graffiti and a bit of old ‘chewy’ stuck to the underside!… unlike this one of course which has been sympathetically restored.
