This cute Indian carved box dates from the late 19th century. The interior has been sympathetically relined as the original lining had deteriorated significantly. I believe this item was made as a sewing box but would function as a beautiful jewellery box too.

Description
This Indian carved wood box is in good condition for its age- it has various small knocks which I would view as standard wear and tear. All hinges and joints are strong and sound. All of the wood has been revived to enrich, protect and preserve.
